Our Story
"Many respond to the onslaught of problems by tuning out the world, getting lost in distractions, or adopting an attitude of cynical detachment. Many would like to take action but feel overwhelmed, don't know where to begin, or feel that problems are too big to be solved. But many have also respond ways to respond with creativity, energy and even optimism - attacking global, National and local problems with powerful ideas and new tools. They see problems that are being ignored or mishandled by traditional institutions. In addition to registering protest they are building new solutions." Tate Dominguez is the founder of Just Something Little.
Tate's family has been involved in helping refugees from America for many years. One day, as Tate and her dad were on their way to visit a refugee family, Tate realized how many people want to help refugees but don't know where to start. She told her dad that if everyone just committed to doing something little, there would be lasting and life changing results.
Tate has always been passionate about words and the power that they hold, so a letter writing campaign just made sense.
Today, over 200 refugees have received letters through Just Something Little, and it's only the beginning.
